Montelanico: Rescuers save horses trapped in deep mud

In Montelanico, a coordinated rescue operation involving veterinarians from Asl Roma 5, the local municipality, and the Vigili del Fuoco was launched to save horses trapped in deep mud at a pond in the Collemezzo area.

While some horses were successfully rescued and secured, the incident resulted in the deaths of several other animals. Rescuers managed the situation by removing carcasses, cleaning the pond, and installing a fence to prevent future entrapments. Authorities also ensured that the remaining animals in the area had access to necessary water supplies.
