Montemor-o-Novo expands cat sterilization program

The CROAC of Montemor-o-Novo is strengthening its Capture, Sterilization, and Return (CED) program through additional weekly interventions targeting free-roaming cat colonies.

In a recent operation in Santiago do Escoural, six cats—comprising four females and two males—were captured for sterilization before being returned to their habitat. The initiative aims to improve animal welfare and enhance management responses for local free-living cat populations.
