Regional agricultural fairs held in Brazil and Portugal
Various regional agricultural and cultural fairs are taking place across Brazil and Portugal.
In Portugal, the Feira da Luz/EXPOMOR in Montemor-o-Novo features over 300 exhibitors and focuses on livestock, including cattle, sheep, and swine. The event includes a municipal investment of approximately 800,000 euros and highlights the region's agricultural traditions. Additionally, Montemor-o-Velho is celebrating its 600th annual fair, which serves as a showcase for local associations, artisans, and producers. In Rio Maior, the FRIMOR National Onion Fair returns with a program of concerts and regional products.
In Brazil, Expoema 2026 is scheduled to take place in São Luís, Maranhão, from September 6 to 13. Promoted by the Association of Breeders of the State of Maranhão (ASCEM), the event is a major driver for the local economy, having generated R$ 400 million in business during its previous edition. The fair will combine agribusiness, livestock exhibitions, and large-scale musical performances.
