Montemorelos investigation probes suspected murder-suicide of influencer and family
Authorities in Montemorelos, Nuevo León, are investigating a suspected murder-suicide involving social media influencer Cinthia Abigail Tamez Rivera. Preliminary findings from the Nuevo León Attorney General’s Office suggest Tamez killed her partner, Leodegario Moya Garza, and her three children before taking her own life.
The victims include Moya and two older children, identified as Bruno and Cristian, who were found in a residence. Tamez and her youngest son, Gustavo, were discovered in a Jeep approximately 400 meters away. Ballistic evidence, including a .38 caliber automatic pistol and matching shell casings found at both locations, supports the theory that the killings began in the home before Tamez moved to the vehicle.
A 14-year-old boy, who was not a member of the immediate family but was under Tamez’s care, survived the incident by hiding. He is considered a key witness, having reportedly witnessed part of the violence inside the home. Investigators are currently reviewing security footage, social media posts, and the teenager's testimony to determine the motive and exact sequence of events.
