Montemurlo Updates Civil Protection Plan and Launches Rent‑Subsidy Program

The Montemurlo municipal council gave final approval to an updated Civil Protection Plan, aligning it with the latest regional regulations and incorporating the Alert System for rapid emergency notifications. Mayor Simone Calamai said, “With the approval of this update we continue to work with determination to protect our territory and community.” The plan details risk scenarios, emergency zones and coordination procedures for the municipality.

Separately, the municipality announced a new rent‑subsidy scheme. Residents with a valid ISEE below €32,192 (or €16,500 for a lower tier) can apply from 17 August to 11 September. Applications are to be submitted via email, certified email or in person at the town hall, with the provisional ranking to be published by 10 October 2026 and final results by 25 October 2026. Beneficiaries must provide proof of rent payments by 31 January 2027 to retain the benefit.
