Montenegrin Army and Water Authority repair Lim river sites

The Montenegro Water Authority and the Armed Forces of Montenegro are conducting emergency intervention works to regulate the Lim river bed in the municipalities of Andrijevica and Berane. The operations aim to reduce flood risks, protect riverbanks, and safeguard local property and infrastructure.

In Andrijevica, interventions have been completed at three locations: Ulotina, Sitne Luke, and Pobljenica–Navotina. These works involved restoring the old riverbed, creating stone embankments to prevent erosion, and removing river deposits. In the Berane municipality, work is ongoing in Donja Ržanica to address erosion caused by changes in the river's flow.

Defense Minister Dragan Krapović stated that the involvement of the Engineering Company of the Support Battalion demonstrates the importance of inter-institutional cooperation and the military's role in supporting citizens through the ‘Army at Your Doorstep’ initiative.
