Montenegrin basketball players selected for NBA/FIBA camp

Montenegrin junior national team players Marko Popović and Luka Malović have been selected to participate in the ‘Basketball Without Borders – Next Up’ camp in Istanbul. The elite program, jointly organized by FIBA and the NBA, brings together some of the most talented young basketball players from around the world.

Running from August 26 to 29, the three-day camp provides participants with the opportunity to work alongside top coaches from both organizations. The program focuses on developing both basketball skills and leadership qualities in players identified as potential future leaders of their generations.

Luka Malović, the captain of Montenegro's U18 national team, is a 199 cm power forward born in Nikšić. He previously participated in the Adidas Eurocamp in Treviso and played for Dubai's U19 team. The Basketball Without Borders program, which celebrates 25 years of FIBA and NBA cooperation, has hosted over 4,600 athletes from 149 countries since its inception in 2001.
