Montenegrin film Crna truba to premiere at Cottbus Film Festival

The Montenegrin feature film “Crna truba”, directed by Bojan Stijović, will have its German premiere in the competitive feature film program at the 36th Cottbus Film Festival. The festival is scheduled to take place from November 3 to November 8.

The film follows Maksim Grahovac, an established writer who returns to his native Grahovo, Montenegro, after ten years abroad to visit his brother, Niko, and settle family inheritance matters. Following a traffic accident on his journey, Maksim’s return descends into a series of dark and unpredictable events. The brothers must navigate the consequences of the accident while confronting unresolved debts from their past, attempting to hide truths that could threaten their lives.

Produced by CUT-UP and co-produced with Pelicula Production, Radio i Televizija Crne Gore, and supported by the Film Center of Montenegro and the Film Center of Serbia, the film stars Momčilo Otašević and Marko Janketić.
