Montenegrin President Jakov Milatović begins state visit to Mongolia

Montenegrin President Jakov Milatović has arrived in Ulaanbaatar for his first official state visit to Mongolia. He was received with full state honors by Mongolian President Ukhnaa Khurelsukh.

The visit marks the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations. During the visit, the leaders are scheduled to sign a Joint Declaration to define future cooperation. Additionally, various bilateral documents will be signed covering sectors such as economy, science, education, media, and diplomacy.

The visit aligns with Mongolia’s ‘third neighbor’ foreign policy, which seeks to strengthen political and economic ties with nations outside its immediate geographic vicinity, particularly within the European Union and its member states.
