Montenegro adopts public finance reform program for 2027–2031

The Government of Montenegro has adopted a Public Financial Management Reform Program for the 2027–2031 period. The program aims to ensure responsible fiscal management, efficient use of public resources, and alignment with European Union standards. The reform is structured around four functional pillars: budget execution, accounting, monitoring and financial reporting, and effective financial control.

Additionally, the government approved a draft law on digital radio broadcasting. This legislation is part of the Montenegro Media Strategy 2023–2027 and is intended to facilitate the introduction of digital radio and the DAB+ system, while ensuring compliance with the EU legal framework. The law also aims to support the development of digital terrestrial television (DVB-T2) services.

The government also issued a decision regarding salary supplements for specific positions in the public sector, aiming to address previous inconsistencies in how such supplements were applied to ensure greater uniformity in public sector wages.
