Montenegro Airport Authority to Relocate Car Rentals, While FK Zeta Criticizes Profit Share

Montenegro’s state airport operator, Aerodromi Crne Gore (ACG), announced a public tender to move car‑rental desks from inside Podgorica Airport’s terminal to external premises. The tender covers 12 modular containers, each about six square metres, and up to 84 parking spaces. Minimum rent is €400 per square metre and €50 per parking spot, with ACG expecting at least €396,000 in annual revenue, higher than the baseline.

The same airport enterprise’s profit distribution has triggered protest from the Zeta municipality. Local officials say only €50,000 of the profit was allocated to the football club FK Zeta, describing the amount as a political slight. In response, the municipality secured sponsorship from Telekom Srbija and M‑Tel and pledged €500,000 of its own funds to support the club and other local sports initiatives.
