Sarajevo Canton invests in Zetra Arena and tourism

Sarajevo Canton is implementing several infrastructure and tourism development projects. The Sarajevo Canton Government and the Ministry of Economy are investing 4.1 million KM into the modernization of the Olympic Arena Zetra. This project includes upgrading IT systems, installing LED displays, and renovating locker rooms, receptions, and entrances to ensure the facility can host major international events.

Additionally, the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism has allocated over 830,000 KM to support nine major cultural, sporting, and gastronomic events in the Sarajevo Canton for 2026. These include the Sarajevo Film Festival programs, Olympic Week 2026, and the Bookstan literary festival.

In Tuzla, the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports is providing 1.7 million KM for sports infrastructure. This funding will support the improvement of a bicycle-pedestrian path along the M-4 highway, the renovation of multi-functional sports fields, and the modernization of street workout parks.
