Montenegro average net salary reaches 1,040 euros in August
In Montenegro, the average net salary in August reached 1,040 euros, representing a 0.3 percent increase from July and a 2.5 percent increase compared to the same month last year. The average gross salary was recorded at 1,242 euros.
Despite the nominal increase, real wages fell by 0.9 percent. This decline is attributed to a 1.2 percent rise in consumer prices during the same period, which outpaced wage growth and reduced overall purchasing power.
Sectoral data shows that the highest average net earnings were in finance and insurance at 1,689 euros, followed by energy supply and information/communications. Conversely, the lowest average salaries were found in administrative and support services at 865 euros, as well as in the arts, entertainment, and agriculture sectors.
