Montenegro tourism season faces price hikes and traffic bottlenecks

In Budva, Montenegro, restaurant and bar prices have largely held steady compared with last year. A draft beer costs about €4.20, and a dinner for two averages €35. Beach chairs are currently free with a drink purchase, but operators plan to raise fees at the end of June and into July: the first‑row price will move from €15 to €25, and the second‑row from €10 to €20.

At the same time, the start of the summer tourist influx is creating heavy road congestion on routes from Serbia to the Adriatic coast. Drivers heading to Greece, Croatia and especially Montenegro are encountering delays on Corridor 10 and on the Miloš Veliki highway and the Zlatibor‑to‑Gostun corridor. Authorities advise avoiding Saturday mornings and suggest travelling at night or early in the morning to reduce waiting times.
