Montenegro begins receiving Czech CZ BREN 3 rifles for military modernization
Montenegro has begun a large-scale modernization of its armed forces through a defense cooperation agreement with the Czech Republic. The first shipments of small arms have arrived in Podgorica, marking a significant milestone in the bilateral partnership.
By the end of the year, Montenegro is expected to receive thousands of CZ BREN 3 assault rifles, along with hundreds of pistols, sniper rifles, submachine guns, and various types of small-caliber ammunition. These supplies are provided by companies within the Colt CZ Group, specifically Česká zbrojovka and Sellier & Bellot.
The delivery was notable for its logistics, as the Czech Air Force's new Embraer C-390 aircraft completed its first cargo flight to transport the military equipment. The CZ BREN 3 platform is a modular system designed to meet strict NATO standards, offering high precision and reliability in extreme environmental conditions.
