Montenegro conducts coordinated inspections of pellet producers
A coordinated inspection of pellet producers was conducted on October 16, involving five different regulatory bodies: labor, market, tax, forestry, and occupational safety inspections. The operation included 41 inspections, resulting in 10 misdemeanor warrants totaling 4,700 euros and one request to initiate misdemeanor proceedings. Additionally, authorities identified irregularities in 13 cases that require rectification.
During the operation, three pellet factories were found to be closed. Officials stated that these facilities will be subject to follow-up inspections in the near future to prevent the evasion of oversight. The joint action aimed to verify business legality, protect employee rights, ensure public revenue, and maintain lawful market operations.
