Montenegro Democratic Party proposes law to return former officials' homes to state

The Main Board of the Democratic Party of Montenegro (Demokratska Crna Gora) voted to back a draft law that would require properties allocated to former officials in breach of fairness and public‑interest rules to be returned to state ownership or for occupants to pay the full market price. The party said the measure would correct a major injustice from the previous regime's housing policy.

In the same session the board discussed broader party priorities, including a commitment to gender and youth representation on future electoral lists, internal organisational strengthening, and other policy initiatives such as child‑protection measures and employee‑leave reforms.
