Montenegro: DPS official criticizes Spajić and Mandić

Mihailo Anđušić, the political director of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), has issued sharp criticisms regarding both economic policy and parliamentary leadership in Montenegro.

Anđušić criticized a proposal by Prime Minister Milojko Spajić, labeling it an “economic-social bomb” that could lead to hyperinflation, increased taxes, and the removal of pension allocations. He claimed the proposal would leave a heavy burden on future administrations and alleged that the Finance Minister opposes the plan. Anđušić further suggested that the business sector is preparing for potential layoffs as a result.

Separately, Anđušić addressed the upcoming parliamentary vote regarding the removal of Assembly Speaker Andrija Mandić. He argued that the initiative to replace Mandić is a matter of moral responsibility rather than mere politics, following Mandić’s telegram regarding the death of Ratko Mladić. Anđušić called on members of the parliamentary majority, specifically the Europe Now Movement, to attend the session on September 24 to demonstrate their commitment to European values and constitutional order.
