Montenegro esports delegation expands ties in Dubai and Astana

From July 22‑24, representatives of the Montenegro Esports Federation visited Dubai on a business mission organized by the DMCC Gaming Center. The delegation, which also included participants from Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ukraine, Saudi Arabia and Syria, held more than twenty meetings with local institutions, companies and organisations such as Dubai Economy & Tourism, Yalla Group, Sharjah Media City and the GITEX Global exhibition, focusing on cooperation in gaming, esports, digital economy, blockchain and artificial intelligence.

At the same time, Montenegro’s phygital basketball team Dangerous Meridianbet opened the Games of the Future 2026 tournament in Astana, Kazakhstan. The squad – Marko Koljević, Bogdan Cebalović, Dejan Raičević and Lazar Đorđević, coached by Paolo Kušeta – competed in the new phygital basketball discipline that merges digital and physical play, aiming to deliver a strong result for the nation.
