Montenegro expands partnerships with AmCham and Italy as EU accession talks advance

Representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce in Montenegro met with Minister Slaven Radunović and senior officials of the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Urbanism and State Property. The discussion focused on the real‑estate sector, highlighting how early identification of administrative and regulatory barriers and cooperation with private‑sector members can create a more predictable business environment and support investment.

Finance Minister Novica Vuković later held talks with Italy’s ambassador in Montenegro, Andrei Marlon, reaffirming Italy’s strong backing of Montenegro’s European Union accession. The ministers praised the progress of reforms, the contribution of the finance ministry to negotiations with the EU, and the deep historical and economic ties between the two countries, pledging continued support for further integration and investment.

Both meetings underscore Montenegro’s effort to strengthen institutional cooperation and attract foreign investment while pursuing its goal of becoming the EU’s next member state.
