Montenegro hosts European Junior Judo Championships in Podgorica

Montenegro is hosting the European Junior Judo Championships in Podgorica, featuring 404 competitors from 44 European nations. The Montenegrin national team will be represented by nine individual judokas, with a total of 12 athletes participating when including the mixed team competition.

Key Montenegrin competitors include Stefan Kovinić, who recently secured a bronze medal at the Grand Prix in Lima, and Andrijana Šutović, who enters the competition following a successful season of European Cups and a training camp in Japan. Both athletes expressed high ambitions for the home tournament, citing the support of the local crowd as a significant motivator.

The full Montenegrin roster includes Đorđe Perišić, Mihailo Senić, Stevan Sadiku, Petar Pajović, Matija Marković, and Stefan Kovinić in the men's categories, alongside Marija Simić, Vanja Guzina, Vedrana Praščević, Aiša Nurković, Andrijana Šutović, and Vladana Popović in the women's categories.
