Montenegro hosts international aviation symposium amid road closures

Montenegro is preparing for significant transport activity, including a major international aviation symposium and various road closures. The Ministry of Transport will sponsor the global CNSS symposium in Kotor from October 12 to 15. Organized by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the International Federation of Air Traffic Safety Engineers (IFATSEA), the event aims to foster international cooperation and technological exchange within the civil aviation sector.

Simultaneously, several road disruptions are in effect across the country. The Đurđevića Tara bridge on the M-6 route is closed for reconstruction until October 26. The M-1 highway is experiencing temporary closures due to the Ocean Lava Montenegro triathlon race. Additionally, ongoing maintenance and reconstruction work are affecting regional routes R-29, R-17, and the Sozina Tunnel, with various scheduled daily closures and alternating traffic patterns.
