Film festivals convene across Montenegro, Bosnia, and Herzegovina
Several major film festivals are taking place across Southeast Europe. The 39th Montenegro Film Festival in Herceg Novi is underway, featuring a red carpet event and honoring Bogdan Diklić with the ‘Milan Žmukić’ award for exceptional contribution to film art.
In Bosnia and Herzegovina, the 32nd Sarajevo Film Festival recently concluded, awarding the Heart of Sarajevo to the film ‘Everytime’ (Svaki put) for best feature film. The festival also presented honorary awards to international figures including Emily Watson, Diego Luna, and Woody Harrelson.
Additionally, the Neum Underwater Film Festival in Bosnia and Herzegovina is set to showcase 37 films from around the world, including Japan, Canada, and Mexico, focusing on marine life and ecological themes. Meanwhile, the Mountain Film Summit in Posušje is presenting 55 films from 13 countries, highlighting adventure and nature-themed cinema.
