Montenegro hosts Western Balkans Digital Summit in Herceg Novi
The Western Balkans Digital Summit is convening in Herceg Novi, bringing together representatives from six regional economies to discuss digital connectivity, cybersecurity, and regional cooperation. Minister of Public Administration Maraš Dukaj emphasized that digital integration is a prerequisite for economic development and integrating the Western Balkans into European digital flows.
Key topics for the summit include improved roaming rates, digital identity, enhanced electronic services, and the creation of a more secure digital space. Dukaj noted that Montenegro is positioning itself as a regional leader in this transition, citing its status as the only member of the Digital Europe program in the region and the closing of negotiation Chapter 10.
The event, supported by telecommunications leader M:tel, expects approximately 250 participants from the ICT community to showcase regional capabilities and explore opportunities within the European market.
