Montenegro launches vaccination education initiative for parents

The Institute for Medicines and Medical Devices of Montenegro (CInMED) has promoted the book ‘Mala škola vakcinacije za roditelje’ (A Small School of Vaccination for Parents) by Dr. Jovan Raičević. Published by the Association of Pediatricians of Montenegro, the initiative is supported by the Ministry of Health, CInMED, and the Municipality of Tivat.

As part of this initiative, supporting institutions plan to provide free copies of the book to the parents of every newborn in Montenegro over the next year. Furthermore, a distribution plan for 2026 and 2027 aims to make the book available in all Montenegrin maternity wards and to all pediatricians to ensure access to scientifically grounded information.

Dr. Snežana Mugoša, Director of CInMED, emphasized that building trust in vaccination requires combating disinformation through education and inter-institutional cooperation. The project seeks to provide parents with reliable information to support informed health decisions for their children.
