Montenegro Ministry ordered to release Velje brdo project details
The Agency for Personal Data Protection and Freedom of Access to Information has upheld an appeal by the Association of Tenants against the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Urbanism and State Property in Montenegro. The Agency determined that the Ministry violated procedural rules regarding access to information related to the Velje brdo project.
The Ministry has been ordered to issue a decision within 15 days regarding the tenants' request for documentation. The requested information includes the project's implementation plan, draft regulations for apartment allocation criteria, the number and structure of applicants, financing models, and internal instructions for selecting users.
The Association of Tenants stated that the information is a matter of public interest, as citizens have a right to understand the criteria, priority, and procedures for a project presented as a major solution to housing issues in the country.
