Montenegro plans 190,000 euros for Bell 412 pilot training

The Montenegrin Ministry of Defense has planned 190,000 euros (excluding VAT) for the 2026 training of pilots for the Bell 412 helicopters of the Montenegrin Air Force. This initiative is part of a larger framework agreement established in 2025, valued at approximately 826,446 euros.

The training programs are diverse, covering emergency procedures, instrument flying, Performance-Based Navigation (PBN), and the qualification of instructors and test pilots. One group of seven pilots will focus on emergency procedures, including engine failure scenarios, visual flight conditions, and firefighting operations. Another group of three pilots will undergo training for instrument flight renewal and specialized PBN training.

Training will utilize FTD/FFS B412 simulators. Each pilot in the primary programs is scheduled to complete 20 flight hours, split equally between the left and right seats. Additionally, the plan includes initial type rating training for one pilot.
