Montenegrin Prime Minister Milojko Spajić has warned of coordinated hybrid activities aimed at destabilizing the country and obstructing its path toward European Union membership. Spajić stated that the government possesses serious security operational information suggesting these actions will coincide with the closing of new EU negotiation chapters.

Reports indicate that officials from at least two regional countries are allegedly involved in these efforts. While the Prime Minister's office has not officially named the nations, sources suggest the countries in question are Serbia and Albania. The suspected hybrid tactics include political and economic pressure, disinformation, and cyber activities, potentially supported by domestic political actors and media outlets.

Additionally, security sources claim a high-ranking government official is under the influence of individuals linked to criminal structures. Montenegro is currently working toward a goal of joining the EU by 2028, having already closed 18 of the 33 required negotiation chapters.
