Montenegro politician exposes state housing and credit recipients
Boris Bogdanović, head of the Democratic Montenegro parliamentary club, has released lists of individuals receiving state-subsidized housing and highly favorable loans. The disclosures include several high-ranking officials, politicians, and members of the judiciary.
Among those named are Constitutional Court judges Melvida Muratović and Desanka Lopičić, as well as Supreme Court prosecutor Veselin Vučković. Bogdanović alleged that Muratović received a 40,000 euro state credit while only being required to repay 8,000 euros, and that Vučković received a 20,000 euro credit with only 4,000 euros in repayments.
The lists also feature former Minister of Justice Zoran Pažin, whom Bogdanović claims acquired state apartments at significantly reduced prices, and Minister of Culture Branislav Mićunović. Bogdanović questioned why the executive branch insisted on managing these privileged credits for prosecutors rather than delegating the authority to the Prosecutorial Council, suggesting it was an attempt to maintain control over those responsible for oversight.
