Montenegro promoted by Wanderlust magazine as ideal autumn destination

The British travel magazine Wanderlust has featured Montenegro as an ideal destination for autumn travel. According to the National Tourism Organization (NTO) of Montenegro, the article highlights the country's diverse landscapes, which include the Adriatic coast, medieval coastal towns, mountain peaks, canyons, lakes, and forests.

The feature emphasizes autumn as an optimal time for exploration due to more pleasant temperatures, fewer crowds, and a more relaxed atmosphere. Recommended activities include taking the cable car from Kotor toward Lovćen, hiking trails on Orjen and Rumija, and exploring national parks. The magazine also highlights Montenegro's cultural and historical heritage and gastronomy.

Montenegro has also been nominated for the Wanderlust Reader Travel Awards 2026 in the category of ‘Most Desirable European Destination’. Voting is open until October 27, 2026, with winners to be announced on November 4, 2026, during the World Travel Market (WTM) in London.
