Draško Stanivuković named opposition candidate for prime minister of Republika Srpska

Opposition leader Draško Stanivuković thanked Branko Blanuša for the invitation to become prime minister of Republika Srpska if the opposition wins the upcoming elections. He said the joint decision of the Pokret Sigurna Srpska (PSS) and his own party to support SDS candidates reflected a commitment to put personal and party interests aside for the public good. Stanivuković accepted the offer, pledging “full honor and responsibility” to lead a new government and implement promised reforms.

The Serb Democratic Party (SDS) welcomed the move, stating that Stanivuković’s potential premiership would enable a responsible coalition government capable of tackling health, education, public enterprises, energy, morale, corruption and privatization challenges. SDS leader emphasized that the role demands great energy, dedication and courage, and expressed confidence that the public would support the joint opposition effort.
