Montenegro pushes sports growth with rugby rally and para‑athletics medals

In Tivta, Montenegro, the third round of the national rugby championship for pioneers and juniors was held at FK Arsenal's auxiliary stadium. Arsenal Tivat topped the pioneer standings and its junior team led the junior table. A parents' meeting outlined plans for a regional league, junior and senior selections, and the creation of a parents' council. Attendees also launched the initiative to form Boka Sports Development, an joint‑stock company aimed at attracting private investment and improving infrastructure for rugby in the Bay of Kotor.

At the Croatia Open para‑athletics meeting in Pula, Montenegrin athletes earned two silver medals – Igor Minevski in javelin and Vlado Terić in shot put – and a bronze for Minevski in discus. The performances contributed to Montenegro’s tally of three medals among 116 competitors from ten European nations.
