Montenegro re-establishes national immunization call center
The Ministry of Health of Montenegro, in collaboration with the Institute of Public Health and local health centers, has re-established a national call center to support the immunization program. This initiative aims to provide timely information to parents and reach children who have missed scheduled vaccinations.
In its initial phase, the call center will focus on children who have not received the MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella) and/or DTaP (diphtheria, tetanus, and acellular pertussis) vaccines according to the national immunization calendar. The center allows parents to communicate directly with healthcare professionals to receive reliable information and instructions.
Authorities stated that the program helps the healthcare system understand why vaccinations are being delayed or missed, which is essential for improving communication, planning future activities, and building trust in preventive measures. The call center was previously active in 2023 and 2025, and this re-establishment serves to strengthen national coordination and institutionalize proactive communication.
