Montenegro reports rise in knife-related violence and mass killings
Montenegrin media reports indicate a concerning trend in the use of cold weapons in various violent incidents, including domestic disputes, peer violence, and premeditated attacks.
In Podgorica, the Higher State Prosecutor's Office has filed an indictment against Vehid Murić for the triple murder of Nezrim Hota, Denis Hota, and Kenan Miraljemović. The incident occurred on April 20 in the Stari Aerodrom neighborhood, where Murić allegedly used a kitchen knife to kill the three victims in a brutal manner. Murić was apprehended in Rožaje following the crime.
Other recent incidents of knife violence have been noted in Pljevalja, where Behudin Nahodović was arrested after a stabbing incident in the city center, and in Novljan, involving an attempted attack on a mother.
