Montenegro roadworks impose alternating traffic and heavy‑truck bans

The Auto‑Motor Association of Montenegro (AMSCG) announced that, despite favorable weather, traffic across the country remains moderate as extensive roadworks continue. Heavy‑truck traffic over 3.5 tonnes is completely banned on the M‑6 Pljevlja‑Žabljak segment while passenger vehicles operate on an alternating basis, with full closures during morning, midday and evening windows until the end of June.

Additional stops and alternating regimes affect the M‑3 Plužine‑Jasenovo Polje stretch, the R‑29 Bar‑Kamenički most‑Krute corridor, the R‑17 Čevo‑Riđani road, and the R‑30 Petnjica‑Bioča‑Lješnica section. In the Sozina tunnel, night‑time work on crack repairs and drainage cleaning requires a changed traffic pattern until mid‑June. Drivers are urged to adapt speed, obey temporary signage, and may obtain 24‑hour roadside assistance from AMSCG.

The association also highlighted seasonal load limits for trucks over 7.5 tonnes on routes through Kotorska, Cetinja and Lovćen regions and on major highways linking Ulcinj, Petrovac, Kolašin and Budva.
