Montenegro Secures €44.2 Million EU Growth Plan Funding
The European Commission approved a third tranche of €44.2 million from the EU Growth Plan for Montenegro. €20.6 million will be transferred directly to the state budget, while €23.6 million is earmarked for infrastructure projects under the Western Balkans Investment Framework.
Montenegro achieved the highest reform implementation score among Growth Plan beneficiaries, leading to advances in the business climate, energy‑efficiency upgrades, public lighting, human‑rights protection, and science‑innovation funding. All 57 planned e‑government services for 2025 have been deployed, and new career‑guidance and social‑policy measures have been introduced. Anti‑corruption courts received a 20 % staff increase and integrity reporting requirements were strengthened, underscoring the country's progress toward EU accession.
