Montenegro sees launch of first public transport application

The NGO ‘Naša akcija’ has introduced Montenegro’s first application designed to centralize public transportation information. Launched on September 18 as part of European Mobility Week, the app was presented in Kotor and Tivat to local officials, tourism organizations, and citizens.

Created by Andrej Medojević, the application aims to address the lack of accessible transit data for both residents and tourists. Currently, the platform provides information on local bus routes, departure times, and stop locations for urban and intercity travel.

While the app simplifies trip planning, it does not yet offer real-time bus tracking or live traffic updates. Medojević noted that implementing such features would require future cooperation with transport providers to overcome existing infrastructure and information system limitations.
