Montenegro strengthens diplomatic ties with France and Germany
Montenegrin Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ervin Ibrahimović held high-level diplomatic meetings to discuss strengthening bilateral ties with France and Germany.
In a farewell meeting with outgoing French Ambassador Anne-Marie Maske, Ibrahimović emphasized France’s role as a key political and economic partner. He highlighted the strategic nature of their relationship, noting President Emmanuel Macron’s visit to Montenegro and the importance of cooperation in cybersecurity through the Western Balkans Cyber Capacity Development Centre (WB3C).
Ibrahimović also received the newly appointed German Ambassador, Edgar Alfred Gansen. The discussions focused on Germany’s continued support for Montenegro’s EU integration and reform processes. Key topics included defense and security agreements, the Berlin Process, and encouraging increased investment from German companies in Montenegro.
