Montenegro strengthens economic ties with EBRD and regional business leaders
Montenegro is focusing on strategic economic growth through infrastructure development, energy transition, and private sector support. Following a meeting between Finance Minister Novica Vuković and EBRD Head of Office Ekaterina Solovova, the two parties discussed expanding cooperation in transport and energy infrastructure, renewable energy sources, and energy efficiency.
Over the past two decades, the EBRD has invested more than one billion euros in Montenegro across sectors including tourism, transport, and energy. Future priorities include supporting small and medium-sized enterprises to drive innovation and job creation, with a specific emphasis on improving connectivity and investment in the northern region of the country.
In a related regional development context, the ‘TBM Business Talks – Southern Region’ event is scheduled for September 22 in Bečići. The forum will address investment potential and sustainable development in southern Montenegro, featuring discussions on aligning investments with local community needs and the role of various actors in creating long-term value.
