Montenegro Supreme Court upholds ruling on Health Insurance Fund director dismissal

The Supreme Court of Montenegro has rejected an appeal by the Board of Directors of the Health Insurance Fund (FZO), following a previous ruling by the Administrative Court that annulled the decision to dismiss former director Vuk Kadić.

Kadić stated that these judicial decisions confirm his dismissal was illegal. He characterized the situation as a systemic issue where political interests are being placed above the law, noting that the Health Insurance Fund has been under acting management for a year. Kadić argued that this institutional instability weakens the public health system and affects citizens. He is also awaiting a ruling regarding the actions of the State Disciplinary Commission concerning his termination.
