Montenegro tourism season hit by traffic chaos, says DPS director

Mihailo Anđušić, political director of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) and member of parliament, criticised the Montenegrin state's inability to ensure smooth traffic during the peak tourist season. In a post on X dated August 3, 2026, he highlighted frequent accidents, improper driving, problems at border crossings and airports, describing the situation as "completely unprepared" and lacking any organized strategy. He warned that the disarray undermines the tourism sector and the hard work of those operating under difficult summer conditions.

Anđušić called for immediate improvements in road safety, border management and airport operations to protect the reputation of Montenegro as a tourist destination.
