The Auto Moto Savez Crne Gore (AMSCG) has issued warnings regarding increased traffic frequency toward tourist destinations and numerous road closures due to ongoing construction across Montenegro.

A major disruption is the total suspension of all vehicle and pedestrian traffic on the Đurđevića Tara bridge (M-6 highway, Pljevlja–Žabljak section) for reconstruction, scheduled from August 10, 2026, until October 26, 2026. Alternative routes are advised.

Other significant road works include: • R-29 (Bar–Kamenički most–Krute): Scheduled daily closures between 08:00–11:00 and 13:00–16:00. • R-17 (Čevo–Riđani): Total suspension from 08:00 to 14:00 due to road adaptation. • R-30 (Petnjica–Bioča): Periodic closures and alternating traffic due to retaining wall construction. • M-4 (Podgorica–Božaj): Alternating traffic in the center of Tuzi.

Additionally, freight vehicles exceeding 7.5 tons face traffic bans on several main roads (M-1, M-2, M-3, and M-10) during specific evening and weekend hours. Drivers are urged to respect all signage and adapt to weather and traffic conditions.
