Montenegro: Vujović warns integrity checks could disqualify leaders
Ivan Vujović, a leader of the European Alliance, has criticized proposed constitutional changes in Montenegro regarding integrity checks. Vujović argues that if the PES, NSD, and Demokrate parties implement these checks, they risk decapitating their own leadership.
He specifically points to allegations involving the Prime Minister and the Speaker of the Parliament regarding undisclosed or unconstitutional dual citizenship. Vujović claims these issues could leave leaders vulnerable to influence from other states. He further noted that certain political figures are considered persona non grata within EU member states, suggesting that strict integrity requirements would disqualify several high-ranking officials currently in power.
