Montenegro water polo defeats Netherlands; table tennis squad heads to European championship

The Montenegro men’s water polo team recorded a 21‑15 win over the Netherlands in a preparatory match in Nikšić, boosting its confidence ahead of the World Cup final tournament in Sydney. Key contributors included Dušan Matković, Đuro Radović and Danilo Stupar, each scoring four goals.

Separately, Montenegro’s junior table‑tennis players travelled from Tirana to Porto for the European Championships scheduled for 10‑19 July. The delegation comprises cadet (U‑15) and junior (U‑19) competitors in both men’s and women’s events, selected by coaches Saša Dragaš and Dijana Zonić after solid performances at the Balkan Championship and recent training camps.

Both squads are representing Montenegro on the international stage as they prepare for upcoming major tournaments.
