Montenegro's DPS rejects constitutional deals with Mandić and Spajić

The Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) has issued a strong statement rejecting any constitutional negotiations involving Andrija Mandić and Prime Minister Milojko Spajić. The party asserted that they will not engage in “midnight political deals” regarding the Constitution of Montenegro.

In their statement, the DPS criticized Mandić’s political history, accusing him of opposing Montenegro’s independence, NATO membership, and European Union integration. The party further characterized Spajić as a leader built on “lies and unfulfilled promises.” The DPS emphasized that while they support Montenegro’s European path, this does not mean they will consent to any constitutional solutions proposed by the current government. They stated they intend to settle political accounts with Mandić and Spajić during the 2027 elections.
