Montenegro’s Iskra philanthropy award opens for nominations

The Fund for Active Citizenship (fAKT) has opened nominations for the ‘Iskra’ philanthropy award, an initiative aimed at recognizing contributions to the public good in Montenegro. The award seeks to highlight individuals, diaspora associations, businesses, media, institutions, and civil society organizations that set standards through material and financial support for building a civil society.

There are four main award categories: individual contribution, diaspora contribution, national-level contribution, and local community contribution. Additionally, special recognitions are available for civic contribution to the public good, young philanthropists, and media contribution.

Nominations must be submitted by November 23, 2026. The award is organized in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro and supported by the ‘Ćano Koprivica’ Foundation. Now in its eighteenth year, the ceremony is traditionally held at the ‘Zetski dom’ Royal Theater in Cetinje, with the next celebration scheduled for the second half of January 2027.
