Montenegro's new special forces graduates and Croatia's 900 conscripts complete training

The Montenegrin Armed Forces have concluded a qualification course for a new generation of special‑forces operatives. The multi‑month program included intensive shooting, alpine, medical, communications, explosives, mountain‑warfare, swamp‑environment and close‑quarters battle training. The final field exercise simulated a complex special‑operations mission involving infiltration, long‑term observation, data collection, coordination of forces, seizure of a key object and neutralisation of simulated threats. The course follows the model of the U.S. Green Berets "Qualification Course".

In Croatia, 900 conscripts of the second cohort of basic military training took the oath in ceremonies held at the Požega, Knin and Slunj barracks. The group includes 53 women and will complete training by mid‑July, having learned first aid, personal‑weapon handling, navigation and other soldier skills. Government and military officials highlighted the trainees' commitment and the programme's role in supplying future professional soldiers for the Croatian Armed Forces.
