Montenegro's Sports Ministry discusses hosting Giro d'Italia stage while volleyball federation plans new season

The Montenegrin Minister of Sports and Youth, Zoran Jojić, met with the presidents of the Cycling Federation of Montenegro and the event organizer RCS Sports & Events to explore the possibility of hosting a stage of the Giro d’Italia. The discussion highlighted the promotional, tourism and economic benefits of such an event, with a realistic timeline suggested for 2028 or later, and the minister pledged full governmental support.

Separately, the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro convened a record‑number of club representatives in Podgorica, chaired by its president Nikola Kažić. Delegates reviewed competition proposals for the upcoming season, setting the women's league start for early October and the men's league for mid‑October, with final decisions to be taken by the federation's board after club registrations are complete.
