Montería establishes direct air connection with Panama via Satena

The state-owned airline Satena is launching a new direct flight route connecting Montería, Colombia, to Panama City. Scheduled to begin operations on October 26, 2026, the route will connect Los Garzones International Airport with Tocumen International Airport.

The service will operate three times per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays using Embraer ERJ-145 aircraft with a 50-passenger capacity. This new connection aims to bolster commercial, tourism, and investment ties between the Córdoba department and Panama.

Panamanian Ambassador to Colombia, Mario Boyd Galindo, noted that the improved connectivity will strengthen bilateral relations and facilitate the movement of people. He highlighted Panama's role as a logistics hub, which could allow international travelers to easily access Montería. Local officials expressed hope that this international link will serve as a foundation for future expansions, including potential routes to destinations such as Miami.
