Montería institutions launch educational and healthcare initiatives

In Montería, Colombia, several institutions have launched new programs to enhance education and healthcare services. The Universidad del Sinú (Unisinú) and the Mayor's Office of Montería have established a cooperation agreement aimed at expanding educational opportunities, promoting culture, and strengthening social projection initiatives to support regional development.

In the healthcare sector, Hospital San Jerónimo and Unisinú have inaugurated a new pediatric emergency unit. This facility, developed through a teaching-service agreement, is designed to improve medical response for children in the Córdoba department while providing a clinical environment for undergraduate and postgraduate medical students, particularly pediatric residents.

Additionally, the Biblioparque David Sánchez Juliao in the Villa Melissa neighborhood has introduced a new cultural programming schedule for October 2026. Following a renovation funded by the Córdoba Government, the park offers free workshops in music, painting, dance, and reading, as well as access to a free recording studio to support local artists.
